4Quick Start - Basic Operations

Slot Reader (Badge Reader)
1. Hold the CARD so that the bar code label is on the bottom and FACES the ARROW on
the slot reader.
2. Insert the CARD into the opening on either side of the reader.
3. Holding the CARD flat against the bottom of the reader, SLIDE the card through the
opening. You can slide the CARD bi-directionally (either left-to-right or right-to-left).
The CARD must maintain contact with the base of the reader while scanning.
NOTE: The center of the bar code must be positioned 0.5" from the bottom edge of the
card.
4. After a successful read the reader BEEPS.
